Hello World!

Hello World! Welcome to the first post of thecoderover., another little blog mostly about programming, computing and the internet at large. Writing this blog is something that I have wanted to start for a while now. Unfortunately, I just never seemed to find the time to make a start. Recently, a small pause between projects aligned with a burst of enthusiasm and here we are.

Many people have blogs, and the one I am starting here will not be that different. However, it will provide a space where I can express my very own thoughts. It will give me a reason to work on small mini-projects that I can then discuss within these pages. It will allow my commenting on current topics that I find interesting. I believe that running such a blog can afford a cathartic experience while offering the chance to connect with others.

In particular, creating small mini-projects and discussing them within the blog should be an enjoyable exercise. These projects might be subjects of interest or could be ‘work’-related. The posts will target an intermediate level such that anyone who knows who to program should follow along easily.

Do be aware this all comes without any a warranty. There is no commitment to the update frequency nor length of articles I write. Likewise, I feel under no obligation to avoid repeating what has already been said or done elsewhere. The internet is just too big. With that aside, I am looking forward to seeing where it goes. Enjoy.

Update 2021

After some 18 months, I find the blog ‘appears’ abandoned, and my interaction is mostly composed of feedback spam. In my first post of 2021, I reflect upon my previous year of blogging, or lack of it. To contrast with I have slightly updated this post to better reflect my original intent.
